Representatives of “DVTG” Company visited the II International conference “Railway transportation of ore mining and smelting cargo in RF”

The II International Exhibition International conference “Railway transportation of ore mining and smelting cargo in RF: open top cars depots operation under conditions of moving to 100% private railway rolling stock” took place in Astana on the 17-18th of November 2011.

Representatives from rail infrastructure managers, expeditors and ore mining and smelting companies, wagon repairing companies paid attention to this event. The main issue of the conference was discussing the current situation regarding to moving to 100%   private railway rolling stock and changing status of freight owners and Rail Infrastructure Managers.

The Company’s top-managers – Gusev V. and Trushenko A. visited conference as well.

They noticed the high level of the organization and timeliness of questions and issues which were discussed by organizers and participants.

During the conference participants paid attention to changes of railway freight market configuration concerning sale of control block of shares of Freight One Company and entry into the market the Second Freight Company. Speakers discussed the specific of price determination at the railway transportation of ore mining and smelting cargo market. Problems with increasing of turnover terms and decreasing the speed of wagons transfer were discussed as well.

To solve the problems with railway rolling stock transfer were offers all round routing implementation for load and unload rolling stock. RZD suggested to implement “routing service” that means the finished number of routs were the transportation price is fixed. Besides   this were suggested to change the marshalling stations technology.AAN_6540

As regulatory actions were suggested several points - to increase liability for freighters for car detention and to increase liability for freight forwarders for cargo delivery schedule-overrun.

Following up the results of the conference all the participants came to common conclusion about the essentiality of railway rolling stock consolidation, alteration the work system for ore mining and smelting cargo transportation under conditions of transfer deficit and of getting the optimal results for  all market participants.
